Membership is valid for up to one year (July–June) provided materials are returned on time and not damaged. Please click here for the Resource Lending Library Application Form.

Hours:

The Resource Lending Library is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, when the CCPFC office is open. Other times are available by request. If members require assistance (i.e. help selecting an appropriate resource or assistance using equipment) they may be required to make an appointment so that staff are available.

Procedures:

Members are required to sign in at the front desk for each visit. Members should mark the resource they are planning to use, provide the ID #(s) of material checked out, and/or provide the date and ID #(s) of material being returned. A maximum of (10) ten items may be checked out at one time.

Loan Period:

Materials may be checked out for a (4) four-week loan period. Members may return materials prior to the due date and check out new items. Renewal of items is allowed. Renewal may be done in person, by phone, or email. All overdue items must be returned before any new materials may be checked out. Toys and materials should be sanitized prior to returning the item(s) to CCPFC.

Fees:

The resource lending library is a free service. Late fees and damage fees apply for all materials if policies and procedures are not followed.

CCPFC expects the materials and resources to be enjoyed by the children and adults; however, any item that is not returned in the same condition in which it was borrowed is subject to a damage fee equal to a replacement cost. Members will be assessed a damage fee for any item/container that is returned broken, with missing pieces, or in any condition that is considered beyond normal wear and tear. The fee will be determined by the CCPFC.

Late fees will be charged for items not returned by the due date. A late fee of $1.00 per day, per item will be charged (excluding Saturday, Sunday and holidays). The member who signed out the item will be responsible for the fee. Payment of fees may be made by cash, check or money order. If payment will be made in cash, members should bring the exact amount of the fee. Checks and money orders should be made payable to Caswell County Partnership for Children.

Failure to return materials, replace materials, or pay the appropriate fee will result in termination of Resource Lending Library privileges.
