Smart Start and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library are working together to get books into the hands of North Carolina’s youngest children. Read more.

Raising A Reader

Raising A Reader's mission is to engage caregivers in a routine of book sharing with their children from birth through age five to foster healthy brain development, healthy relationships, a love of reading, and the literacy skills critical for school success. Learn more.

Reach out and Read

Reach Out and Read, a national evidence-based early literacy program, supports health care providers in their efforts to “prescribe” reading to young children and families during well-child visits and is offered at the Caswell County Health Department and the Caswell County Family Medical Center. NC Pre-K Program

The Caswell County NC Pre-K Program provides quality educational experiences in order to enhance kindergarten readiness for eligible four-year-olds. The program is free to qualifying families. Read more.

Child Care Subsidy

North Carolina operates a statewide child care assistance program for low-income and other eligible families. This program helps families afford child care by sharing the cost of care. Learn more.
