Professional Development Incentives

do you teach children ages 5 and under, in a caswell county licensed facility?

If so, we may have money to support your hard work!

The goals of the Professional Development Incentives Program are to reduce turnover, increase compensation, and support degree completion for Caswell County’s Early Childhood Professionals.

Take 1-3 minutes to answer the following as a quick way to see if you may be eligible for a cash incentive:

  • Do you work in a Division of Child Development and Early Education regulated facility?

  • Do you work with children ages 0-5 years?

  • Do you work at least 20 hours per week?

  • Have you worked at the same facility from October 2, 2023 (or earlier) to present?

  • Do you spend most of your time at your job working with children?

  • Do you have an Associate’s in Early Childhood Education? OR Are you working on an Associate’s in Early Childhood?

If you answered YES to all the above, then please access the guidelines and application on this page to continue. You may also contact the Partnership for more help.

To read the FULL program Guidelines, access the Application, and access other important documents, see the links at the bottom of the page.

Here are a few important program reminders:

·         Early childhood professionals that do not have at least an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, must complete at least one college course with a grade of B- or better in a birth to five focused course.

·         Early Educator Certification (EEC) is REQUIRED. The application process includes the submission of an application and official transcripts to the North Carolina Institute for Child Development Professionals. For more information, contact them at info@ncicdp.org or 919-942-7442 or visit https://ncicdp.org/certification-licensure/eec-overview/
