CHILD CARE TRAINING POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
General Information:
The Caswell County Partnership for Children (CCPFC) will publish an annual training calendar. All trainings will be approved by the North Carolina Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE). The training calendar, and any updates or changes, will be posted on the CCPFC website, https://www.caswellchildren.org/trainings, disseminated to all regulated child care programs in Caswell County, and distributed to the training listserv. Individuals should contact CCPFC to be added to the training listserv.
Only child care staff working in North Carolina regulated child care facilities are allowed to attend trainings.
Registration:
Registration forms must be completed with all requested information. Visit https://forms.gle/XnF1PnncJT3ZyWyN7 to access the registration form or to register online.
Registration and payment must be received in the CCPFC office by 4:00 pm five (5) business days prior to the training. Participants are not registered until the payment is received by CCPFC.
Registration and payment will not be accepted after the deadline date. The CCPFC is not responsible for registration forms or payment lost in the mail or not received on time.
All trainings are $5.00 unless otherwise specified.
Drop by our office at 1084 NC Hwy 86 N, Yanceyville, during business hours to pay with cash, check, or money order. CCPFC is not able to keep cash on hand so you must provide correct change when cash is used to pay for trainings. Checks and money orders should be payable to the Caswell County Partnership for Children.
Participants may mail the registration form along with a check or money order to:
Caswell County Partnership for Children
P.O Box 664
Yanceyville, NC 27379
Participants may also pay online through the CCPFC website at https://www.caswellchildren.org/donate (click the donate button).
Registration Cancellations:
A training may be cancelled by the CCPFC if the minimum number of participants are not registered. If a training is cancelled by the CCPFC, staff will notify the registered participants two business days prior to the scheduled training. Participants will be refunded for the payment or can elect to have the payment applied towards another training.
Participants who are registered for a training and need to cancel must contact the CCPFC two business days prior to the scheduled training. Participants may request a refund for the payment or may have the payment credited towards another scheduled training. Training credits must be used by June 30 of each year.
If a participant registers for a training and fails to attend, no refund or credit will be issued.
Child Care:
Child care is not provided at the trainings. Because it is inappropriate to expect young children to sit quietly through workshops designed for adults, individuals who bring children with them to a training will not be admitted. No refund or credit will be given.
Training Location:
Unless otherwise noted, all in-person trainings are held in the CCPFC conference room. Trainings may be held virtually using the Zoom platform.
Virtual Trainings:
Each participant must provide a valid email during registration in order to receive the training link and materials. The training link will be emailed one day prior to the scheduled training. Each participant must always have their camera on throughout the training. Access to a mic and/or chat box is required during the entire length of the training.
Credit and Participation:
Participants arriving more than 15 minutes late or leaving more than 15 minutes early will not be given credit. Active participation is required. For virtual trainings, participants are expected to provide verbal responses or use the chat feature to respond, complete polls, etc. Each participant is required to complete a demographic survey, the pre & post surveys and a training evaluation in order to receive the training credit. Training credits will only be issued for completed workshops. Certificates will be issued after participants have completed all of the requirements listed above. Participants will be provided one training certificate.
Materials Given:
On occasion, professional resources or classroom materials may be given to participants as a part of participation in the training. It is the perspective of the CCPFC that the materials should belong to the person or organization that paid the registration fee. In the event that the facility paid the fee, the materials should be made readily available for use by the staff member(s) who attended the training.
Inclement Weather:
If Caswell County Schools are closed due to inclement weather on the same day that a training is scheduled, the training will be postponed and rescheduled later.
