Child Care Resource & Referral:
Families have a single access point in identifying options concerning child care choices & resources.
CCR&R assists in locating and evaluating child care that is well-suited to your needs and preferences. This includes programs in neighboring counties where your job may be, in addition to the child care options inside Caswell County. CCR&R assists families in making informed child care choices by providing the following:

CCR&R assists families in making informed child care choices by providing the following:
- info on state licensing/ star rated system as well as other indicators of high quality care
- availability of child care subsidies (to determine eligibility, contact the Department of Social Services: 336-694-4141)
- child development information and parenting resources
- information on other community resources specific to your family’s needs
Lending Library:
The Partnership Lending Library is a facility designed for parents, grandparents, child care teachers, and the public in general. Families must be residents of Caswell County and child care providers must work in regulated child care programs in Caswell County. The library includes numerous materials including resource books for parents, curriculum books for teachers, children's books, videos, CDs, theme boxes, puzzles, games, musical instruments, and much more to utilize at home and in the classroom. The library contains equipment including CD and DVD players and projectors. Other resources include a die cut machine and laminator.
Membership entitles the individual to utilize the Lending Library and other available resources. Membership is free. Individuals can obtain a membership by completing a Lending Library Application or renewal each year. Individuals will be notified when their membership has been approved. Members can lose membership privileges when items are not returned or items are damaged.
Hours:
The Lending Library is open Monday thru Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Other times are available by request. If members require assistance (i.e. help selecting an appropriate resource or assistance using equipment) they may be required to make an appointment with staff.
Sign In Roster:
When using the Lending Library, members must sign in at the front desk.
Loan Period:
Materials may be checked out for a (4) four-week loan period. Equipment may be checked out for a (2) two-week loan period. Renewals are allowed as long as there is no “reserve request” for the materials. Members may bring back materials prior to the due date and check out new items. All overdue items must be returned before any new materials may be checked out. CCPFC will send a reminder notice to members to inform them of a pending due date.
Number of items:
A maximum of (10) ten items may be checked out at one time.
Reservation:
If an item is currently checked out, a Material Reserve Request form may be completed. CCPFC will contact the member when the item is available. Members will have (2) two business days to check out the requested material. If not checked out within (2) two business days, the item will be returned to the lending library or, if more than one reservation has been made for the item, the next person on the Reserve Request list will be contacted.
Mobile Library Services:
Child care teachers and directors working in a regulated child care facility in Caswell County may request mobile library services. All policies and procedures that apply to the lending library also apply to the mobile library services. Child care teachers and directors should contact the CCPFC to establish delivery/pick-up dates and determine the materials that are needed.
Appropriate Usage of Materials:
It is the member’s responsibility to use the resource materials in a manner that is appropriate to the age of the child. Items are arranged in the Lending Library to assist teachers and parents in making choices for materials appropriate to the age of child for which they are being selected.
Late Fees:
Late fees will be charged for items not returned by the due date. A late fee of $1.00 per day, per item will be charged (excluding Saturday, Sunday and Holidays). In such cases, the member who signed out the item will be held responsible for payment of the late charges. Failure to return materials or pay for them will result in denial of Lending Library privileges.
Damage Fees:
CCPFC expects the materials, books and other resources to be enjoyed by the children and adults; however, any item that is not returned in the same condition in which it was borrowed is subject to a damage fee equal to a replacement cost. The fee will be determined by the CCPFC. Members will be assessed a damage fee for any item/container that is returned broken, with missing pieces, or in any condition that is considered beyond normal wear and tear. Failure to replace materials will result in denial of Lending Library privileges.
Cleaning:
CCPFC is responsible for cleaning all items before they are returned to the lending library.
Payments:
Payments for late or damage fees may be made by cash or check. If payment will be made in cash, members should bring the exact amount of the fee. Checks should be made payable to the Caswell County Partnership for Children. CCPFC will provide a receipt for any money received through the Lending Library
