BOARD OF DIRECTORS   

The local Partnership is governed by a Board of Directors, representing parents, health care, public agencies, private businesses, communities of faith, child care centers, educational institutions, civic organizations, law enforcement, and concerned citizens. Former and current board members, along  with citizens-at-large, serve on the partnership's many committees and task forces.

                         Standing & Advisory Committees For The Partnership Include:

Community Awareness/Parental Involvement (Standing)

·        Represents the needs and ideas of parents at board meetings

·        Develops and implements ways to broaden the general public’s understanding of the Partnership and the services offered

·        Provides input into the marketing tools of the Partnership

·        Develops ways to engage parents and the community for on-going input into needs of the community and services being delivered


Evaluation Committee (Standing)

·        Evaluates and provides oversight of Partnership programs

·        Ensures that the Partnership is reaching and exceeding its goals and objectives

·        Reviews and makes recommendations on Smart Start Request for Proposal/Application Process

·        Reviews Smart Start quarterly reports

·        Reviews Smart Start program monitoring reports

 
Youth Committee (Standing)

·        Plans for services and programs for children over 5 years of age

·        Provides oversight of services and programs for youth 

•   Serves as the local adolescent pregnancy prevention council

                                                                                                                
Planning Committee (Standing)

·        Assesses the Partnership's  mission and vision statements on a regular basis

·        Develops and reviews goals, objectives and action strategies to accomplish the mission of the Partnership

·        Develops and manages the strategic planning process


Fundraising/Grants (Standing)

·        Recommends resource development goals, including private fund raising and public sources

·        Develops plans to solicit funds for the organization and diversify revenue to the Partnership, including both restricted and unrestricted dollars

·        Develop plans and procedures to involve the entire board in fundraising

 

Child Care Committee (Advisory)

·        Discusses the mutual needs of child care centers and homes in Caswell County and bring ideas and needs to the attention of the board for consideration

·        Designates a member of the committee to represent the interests and concerns of child care providers to serve on the Planning Committee
